About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and culturally-aware Email Marketing Specialist to join our team and drive impactful email campaigns for our portfolio of beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands. You’ll craft compelling narratives that resonate with multicultural audiences, manage campaigns from concept to execution, and use data to continuously elevate performance. This role requires someone who understands that cultural competency isn’t a buzzword-it’s essential to how we communicate and connect.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns for multiple client brands across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle sectors, including promotional emails, product launches, newsletters, and automated workflows
- Write culturally-informed, engaging copy and subject lines that align with each brand’s unique voice and drive opens, clicks, and conversions
- Build and manage sophisticated email segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, demographics, and cultural insights to deliver personalized, relevant content
- Develop automated email sequences for customer onboarding, nurturing, retention, and re-engagement that support clients’ growth goals
- Conduct A/B testing on messaging, design, CTAs, and send times to optimize campaign performance and ROI
- Monitor key metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue attribution, providing clients with clear, actionable insights
- Ensure all campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and email marketing best practices
- Collaborate with our strategy, design, and content teams to create cohesive campaigns that align with broader brand initiatives
- Support clients launching into major retailers (Walmart, Target, CVS) with targeted email strategies that drive retail traffic and online conversions
- Maintain database hygiene and implement list growth strategies that expand reach while maintaining quality
- Stay current on email marketing trends, particularly those relevant to multicultural marketing and DTC beauty/wellness brands
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in email marketing, preferably within beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer goods
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo or similar tools
- Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated understanding of multicultural marketing and cultural sensitivity in brand communications
- Experience with HTML/CSS for email templates (basic to intermediate knowledge)
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform strategy and improve campaign performance
- Knowledge of email deliverability, segmentation best practices, and marketing automation
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and DTC marketing strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an agency environment or managing multiple brand accounts
- Knowledge of SMS marketing and integration with email campaigns
- Familiarity with retail marketing strategies and omnichannel campaigns
- Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of customer journey mapping and conversion rate optimization
- Passion for beauty, wellness, and mission-driven brands
